Nollywood Actress,Mimiano In Serious Auto Accident

Talented Yoruba movie actress cum producer Memunat Yunusa popularly known as Mimiano has survived close encounter with death this month in a serious road accident in Oyo town, Oyo State, Nigeria.

Actor John Dumelo is one Celebrity who is using his fame to establish unassailable wealth. Many mention his name with the prefix 'Businessman'. Aside his great prowess in acting, the Actor is also known to be a Civil Engineer.

According to people near him, the Actor has established a Hotel worth millions of Dollars. The hotel is branded 'Maselo Hotel' , a name he coined from his full name. In his own words "“I coined the name from my full name John Mathew Kofi Setor Dumelo.”

In a recent video shoot for an up and coming Akon and Wizkid video, some Ghanaian models and girls were called upon to participate by the directors a few days ahead of the shoot. Presumably prior to Akon and Wizkid's arrival in Ghana.

25 year old Brazilian model Dai Macedo from the central state of Goia beat 26 other contestants to win the 2013 Miss Bum Bum contest which is quite popular in Brazil.
Dai impressed judges with her 42in derrière and went home with 5,000 reais ($2,100). She will also make a lot of money in advertising contracts. You would expect the butt that won her the contest to be 100% natural but it's not.
"It isn't 100% natural. I had a butt lift. I always had a large backside but liposuction improved it,' Dai said.

Last Sunday, November 10th, President Jonathan hosted the victorious Golden Eaglets at the Banquet Hall in Aso Villa.
For their victory, each Eaglet received N2million cash gift from the president while their coach got N3million. Plus national honors which would be announced later.

ASUU Meeting To Call Of Strike Is Postponed To January 15

Due to the loss of one of the prominent members of the union, Professor Festus Iyayi, who died in an auto crash on Lokoja-Abuja Expressway, on his way to Kano yesterday, for the union’s meeting.ASUU, has postponed its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which was supposed to hold today, there decision to call off or continue the four months old strike embarked upon by the University lecturers was expected to be made at the meeting which would have held today but for Iyayi’s death.

The union called for the meeting after negotiations with the President, where the government was said to have shown commitment to ending the strike by improving on earlier offers.The meeting is now to hold on January 15 2014

ASUU Gives FG Final Condition Before They End The Strike

It is not yet over, as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has given the Government conditions to be met before the union would finally call off its over four-month old strike.

“I must tell you that our mandate remains. The only mandate we have is that 2009 agreement must be met. We have not reached any agreement with the Federal Government.

“Since the Federal Government wants to be releasing N220bn every year for five years, then all monetary and regulatory agencies must sign.... The reason we will ensure this is that we don’t want argument tomorrow that the agreement was entered in error or that they don’t know the implication of signing the agreement. If possible, documents that will provide for automatic deduction of the agreed money at a particular/agreed date must be provided.”

Tania Omotayo moves in with Wizkid

She might go on Twitter to deny this report because she once said she would not move in with Wizkid until he marries her, but it's fact! Tania practically lives with Wizkid now. Her tweet in August below.

People who know them very well will readily tell you that the lovebirds, who met over five years ago, are live-in-lovers. Tania still has her own place though and stays there once in a while, but her main place of residence is her boyfriend Wizkid's place in Lekki.

It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences.

Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level. Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action.

Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release ‘Baby Face’ purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part.

Both Mavin Records and Wande Coal have enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship. It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord.

Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and exciting talent into the industry.

We wish Wande Coal the best of luck in all his future endeavours.

Marketers ban Mercy Johnson for being too expensive

Mercy Johnson is currently the highest paid actress in Nollywood. She charges between N1.8million to N2m to feature in a movie. The others, like Ini and Funke charge between N700k to N1.2million.
For this reason, the actress has been blacklisted by the Nollywood Movie Marketers Association. The ban will not take effect immediately as Mercy has already signed up to do quite a number of movies. She returned on Thursday from a movie location, and will be on the set of another movie. She will be traveling out of Nigeria sometime this month and when she returns, will be on another movie set...so she's basically booked till the end of the year.
The idea now is not to ban her after all her current contracts end. So the ban won't take effect until at least January 2014. This is not the first time the movie marketers association will be placing a ban on actors. They did this a few years ago when quite a number of Nollywood actors including Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Noah, RMD, Emeka Ike, Jim Iyke and others were blacklisted.
