Kunle Afolayan’s “October 1″ movie wins award for ‘Best Fiction Trailer’

Award-winning Nollywood director has added yet another award to his bag of laurels, as his yet-to-be-premiered film, ‘October 1’  has won the award for ‘Best Fiction Trailer’ at the International Movie Trailer Festival.
Announcing the award, the ace director said: “We did it! October 1 Trailer Won the best Fiction film trailer at the International Movie Trailers festival…What a way to wrap year 2013. ”
“I’m happy about this award. It’s not about the money but the recognition of the hardwork, the efforts of the cast and crew of October 1.  It is a pointer to the fact that the film has great potentials to go places when it is eventually released. I can’t wait to see the complete film in 2014.”
The award comes with a price of $250.
Set to be released this year, ‘October 1′ was shot last year and packs quite a cast, including Sadiq Daba, Deola Sagoe, Ibrahim Chatta and David Bailey.
